Beverley-born Margaret has worked at The Hollies for a quarter of a century, progressing from carer in 1986 to manager in 2003. In that time, she has seen many changes in residential care settings, especially for those with a dementia-related illness. In fact, this knowledge, together with her progressive attitude, enabled the home to offer one of the region’s first ever dedicated dementia areas. Today, The Hollies continues to offer high quality dementia care, with Margaret’s constant, constructive and creative input ensuring an excellent service with specialist, person-centred support. In terms of qualifications, Margaret holds a Registered Managers Award and NVQ Level 4 in Care. On a personal note, with three grown up children and two dogs, Margaret knows the importance of family and home, but she has also enjoyed some exotic travels, visiting amongst other places, the Great Wall and Terracotta Army in China, as well as Machu Picchu in Peru.
