Experienced home manager Lynn Allwood has been employed by HICA since 1992. Lynn has worked in a care environment for over twenty eight years and says she never stops learning about the job. As a manager, she has a wealth of knowledge, reflected in her professional development. Her wide array of qualifications include NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, NVQ Level 4 Registered Managers Award, NEBS Management Qualification (Specialism: Care Environment), D32/D33 Assessors Award, NCFE Level 3 Palliative Care, EDI Level 2 in Dementia Care, NCFE Level 2 in Safe Handling of Medicines and Certificated Dementia Care Mapping. Lynn has been manager at Tamarix since 2000 and is absolutely passionate about delivering person-centred care and palliative care. For fun, Lynn loves being a mum, wife, grandma and surrogate parent to her pet macaw parrot, George! Lynn’s husband is currently building a micro light plane, but whether she dare repeat her first flight in a micro light is another question!
