Wendy has worked with adults with learning disabilities for the past 26 years, starting out as a personal carer and progressing to her present role as manager. She is a skilled and well-liked manager who has time for everyone. Her larger-than-life character and easy-going nature are evident throughout the home and she is truly devoted to her work. Prospect House benefits from this endless dedication and enthusiasm, whether it’s her fantastic fundraising efforts, her approachable manner, or her open and progressive method of management. Wendy is a qualified nurse and holds her NVQ Level 4 in Management. She has been happily married for 43 years and has two children - a daughter who lives in York and a son in Canada. Newfoundland is now her favourite travel destination as she gets to spend time with her two gorgeous grandsons. A scenic rail holiday on the Rocky Mountaineer, a trip down the Yangtze River and shopping in New York are further holiday highlights.
