As anyone who knows will tell you, working in the care sector is very rewarding, but for Sue Curtis, working with learning disabilities is the most rewarding of all and she is absolutely devoted to ensuring Horrox Court delivers a high quality, holistic service to every single service user. Sue has worked for HICA since 1991 and became supported housing manager at Horrox in 1995. She loves the role and this is reflected in the home’s warm atmosphere, stimulating environment and happy ambience. Her many personal characteristics are complemented by various qualifications including NVQ Levels 2 and 3. She is also working towards her NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management. Craft and art-based hobbies take up much of Sue’s spare time, but she is also a member of a local drama group and one of the most enthusiastic travellers you could ever meet... she’s happy to spend time anywhere, although she would love to go to Hawaii one day!
