Hessle-born Gail comes from a Hull family of deep sea trawler skippers. Today, living by the sea in Bridlington is as near as she gets to carrying on with the family tradition, but the same spirit, dogma and tireless work ethic are obviously engrained in her genes as she is one of HICA’s most capable and respected managers. With 23 years’ experience, 15 in management, Gail has a number of top qualifications including n NVQ Level 4 and a Registered Managers Award. She is also an NVQ Assessor and a Dementia Care Mapper. Delivering good quality dementia care and enhancing this service wherever possible are her key, daily objectives. Happily married, Gail is always busy and spends her spare time gardening – whether it’s tending to orchids and other exotic plants at home – or designing gardens for friends. Experiencing new cultures is also high on her list and she travels overseas as much as possible. Finally, three very lively dogs help her to keep fit!
